The Damned at Enmore Theatre
Billed as their last Australian tour it was great to see the "Machine Gun Etiquette" line up in action.

Buffalo Revisited at Marrickville Bowling Club|
Playing the "Only Want You for Your Body" album for its 50th anniversary, Dave Tice’s vocals are still in fine form and can hit the notes all these years (decades) later. The lineup for the last seven years has been Steve Lorkin, Troy Vod and Marcus Fraser who provided an excellent sound.

Chainsaw Four, The Jane Does, Chaos Vinyl at Link & Pin
I’d never been to this venue before and didn’t know what to expect but it has a great vibe to it and a bigger crowd than expected. Lovely area around there too.

The On and Ons and Hovering Spooks at Marrickville Bowling Club
A Sunday afternoon show celebrating Clyde Bramley’s significant birthday. Always enjoy The On and Ons' 1960s jangle sound and beautiful harmonies.

Belinda Carlisle at Enmore Theatre
My ticket was a present from my dear friend Janet for my birthday in 2022 but due to Covid restrictions and then a knee injury it was postponed multiple times. She put on a great show to a full house and thankfully included a couple of Go-Go’s songs.

Hoodoo Gurus and Magic Dirt at Enmore Theatre||
It’s the 40th anniversary of "Stoneage Romeos" and they played the album in full along with their other hits. The also played it at the first Dig it Up show. One of my favourite albums and love to hear it either live or on record. Magic Dirt were great to see again too.

Favourite album of 2024 - Redd Kross self-titled album (AKA The Red Album)
Always a joy to hear new music from them and this is a double album of all killer no filler (as they say). Always thought Redd Kross sounded like a cross between The Beatles and Kiss and they have a very Beatles-esque sound on this one. Looking forward to the seeing the doco ‘Born Innocent’ and reading the book ‘Now You’re One of Us’.

Favourite book of 2024 - "Under A Rock" by Chris Stein
A bio by the co-founder of Blondie and co-writer of most of their songs. Gary Valentine and Deborah Harry have both released theirs and I believe we can expect a Clem Burke one next year.

Joanne and her band The Jane Does play Marrickville Bowling Club in Sydney on January 4 with Jupiter 5, The Sugar Beats and The Men From U.N.C.L.E.
