los revelators

  • Chris Klondike Masuak 20252025 threatened to be a year of crushing existential foreboding … a year of vulgar democratic erosion, racism, and sensationally grotesque hyper-nationalism. Violent weirdness. But, we managed to thwart most of it. Here are some observations and some highlights:

    1. Australia seemed to have decided to skirt pesky issues like empathy and human decency, defer to genocide apologists, and chuck justice, accountability, and democratic freedom to buggery.
Trying to understand the “rules” in oZ has become more complex, confusing, and demoralizing than trying to find a parking space in Leichhardt!

    2. The Decline and Fall of the US Empire.
“So what?”, some may say.  With the United Stazi no longer the de facto Boss Of Stuff, 2026 is bound to be a  clusterfuck as the status quo Rearranges Their Priorities.

     3. The Epstein Files. (Waits for laughter to subside.)
    “How guilty is Donald?”

“Your world does not understand how dumb he really is.” (Epstein’s response.)

How much popcorn can we eat?

     4. Los Revelators
This groove-tastic li’l Spanish garage power-punk ensemble continues to chug away, having blasted out a few choice concerts and mini tours over the year (notably, one show with Leon rock legends The Salamanders).. The debut album should be ready for release in early 2026.

The newest band for former Radio Birdman guitarist Chris Masuak, Los Revelators, were born in a garage behind the ancient Roman walls of Lugo in Galicia and raised on a diet of scratchy seven-inch singles.

With members from three continents, Los Revlators are a band with international bloodlines and bound by a shared love for hard-edged ‘60s and ‘70s rock and roll. They play it hard and fast, churning out mostly original songs steeped in psychedelia,   surf, garage rock and punk and laced with intricate guitar and the unmistakable tones of a Hammond organ.

The debut EP "Revelation" is available here.

  • The ever industrous Los Revelators, the Spanish band for ex-Radio Birdman guitarist Chris Klondike Masuak, have a new song and filmclip called "Trigger Warning".

Los Revelators comprise Masuak on vocals and guitar, Andrés Haensel on keys, Adolfo A. Lombardero on bass and Miguel A.DCF (aka Bambi) on drums, the song was recorded by the band in Spain and mastered by Ernie O in Australia.
  • As preparations wind up for his first Australian shows in a couple of years and the release of his new album "Chris Masuak's Dog Soldier" imminent on our own I-94 Bar Records label, ex-Radio Birdman guitarist Chris Klondike Masuak is busy with his Spanish band Los Revelators. This is their newest song, "Dotted Line", with the filmclip shot in the wilds of Galicia.

CHRIS “KLONDIKE” MASUAK TOP SEVERAL FOR 2023

    1.   APPARENTLY, THERE ARE TWO SIDES TO EVERY GENOCIDE.
This year has demonstrated beyond any possible doubt that the human race is blithely and psychopathically genocidal.

And if daily reminders of this sad and truly distressing reality aren’t enough, next to nothing has been effectively done to redress the horror because of the not entirely surprising confirmation that a great number of the people you know are …

    a. Cruel and nasty.
    b. Wilfully ignorant.
    c. Racist.
    d. Chickenshit.
    e. All of the above.

Protest, agitate, donate … do something. Anything.

Let’s at least pretend to be interested in creating a better future.
