Detroit rock and soul legend Scott Morgan (Sonic's Rendezvous Band, The Rationals, The Hydromatics, The Solution, Scots Pirates, Scott Morgan Band, Guardian Angel, Dodge Main) has returned to live singing just two years after being disagnosed with liver disease.

Scott joined The Sights at their special Christmas show at The Magic Stick on December 21. Here's his story:

"Thanksgiving Weekend 2011 was when I played my last show. It was a promotional club appearance in Detroit for the current album at the time by the Irrationals, eponymously titled Scott Morgan (Alive Records.)

"One week later I was beginning treatment for a serious illness I didn't fully see coming. That lasted for a year. The next year consisted of getting back in shape and planning.

"This was accomplished for the most part, and meanwhile Easy Action Records picked up where they left off with the Sonic's Rendezvous Band box set. In October of 2013 they released Three Chords And A Cloud Of Dust, a retrospective snapshot of my career in three discs.

"In addition to the recordings included there, they began scheduling full releases of Guardian Angel, Scots Pirates and The Hydromatics.

"On Saturday, December 21 at Detroit's Magic Stick, the winter solstice, I did Sam Cooke's Live At The Harlem Square Club version with King Curtis and The Kingpins 'Bring It On Home To Me'. I played with The Sights and 50 of Detroit's top musicians. This was my third shot at it and i think we nailed it this time.

"So I'm back. Thanks to everyone for hangin' in there!"
